Buying a property in Slovenia?
Ljubljana has a leading position in the growth of the prices, originally just in the central areas of the city, but now also in the suburbs as well. Recently, Primorska (the coastal region) has also seen major growth in prices and Gorenjska remains the second most expensive area of the country. Many believe that growth will continue until Slovenia’s adoption of the Euro.
Rural regions
In Slovenia there are many well-constructed houses available in villages and deeper into the countryside. Most are built in the traditional Slovenian style and often little work is required. There are also opportunities for renovation and rebuild projects of older properties.
Coastal and Mountainous regions
There are a number of established tourist destinations around Slovenia, including Bled and Kranjska Gora in the mountains and Piran, Portorož on the coast. These towns are a very good option for those looking for a holiday property in Slovenia that is located in beautiful surroundings.
