In Warsaw the prices have risen for 50 per cent

The prices of real estate rose for 50 per cent in 2006 and thus reached 1935 Euro per sq meter. A sq meter in the most prestigious location in Polish capital comes close to even 5000 Euro. Prestigious apartments are a bit cheaper in Prague (4500 euro), Budapest (4000 Euro) and Bratislava (3500 Euro).

In Bucharest the prices have tripled in the last five years

In Romania, that became a member of EU in January 2007, the prices in Bucharest have tripled. The prices in Bulgaria, that entered the EU at the same time as Romania, started rising rapidly last year. Thus, the prices have risen for 15 to 20 per cent, foreign investments have risen from 336 million euro to 1,3 billion.
